According to Google, there is nearly 130 million books published! Which means that in a lifetime, no person is able to read all of the books in the world. If we consider such an overwhelming number of books, how do we select what to read among 130 million others? I think the smartest way to pick the right books is to get recommendations from trustworthy sources…

Introduction

Growing up, my parents didn’t set the best example for me. I remember, I didn’t have the role models in them that I wanted. Let’s face the truth, there are no “perfect families”.

So I began looking for people who had the kind of results I was after. The answer turned out to be in the books. They were the fastest and cheapest way to get access to the knowledge and experiences of these brilliant people. After reading an astronomical number of this type of books and truly getting value out of them. I decided to put together a list of the 3 most important ones and make it easier for you to choose from the ocean available writings. Remember, it’s my subjective opinion, and you naturally have the right to think differently. Here goes the list.

1. Awaken The Giant Within by Tony Robbins

Awaken the giant within by Tony Robbins

I really started my adventure with self development by reading this book. If you’re on a downward spiral in your life, this is the book to read now.

2. The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle

The power of now

In a nutshell, I think that on some level we are all spiritual beings. This book will help you connect with your spiritual part and clear your mind.

3. The Slight Edge by Jeff Olson

The Slight Edge

After reading the previous two books, I suggest you read this one about small steps that compound to huge outcomes.

I got this book from my best friend and I’ve been using the principles from this book in every walk of my life. If you’ve already heard of Japanese KAIZEN, you will know what this book is all about.

  1. Hey brother,
I have heard about the first book but didn’t read it yet.

‘The power of now’ and ‘A new earth’ by Eckhart Tolle are some of my favourite books. They are the awakening in order to understand how to enter a state of conciousness that he calls ‘The Now’.

We generate our self esteem by the activities running in our mind and we are fully identified with them. Eckart Tolle shows us how we get access to our true core beyond that.
